    I support the CBA demand to set aside affordable housing closest to the Obama Center:

    As the Obama Center is being built, thousands of Woodlawn residents are at risk of being kicked out of their homes.

    ​Setting aside ALL of the empty city-owned lots on 63rd, east of Cottage Grove, will ensure long time residents have both a safety net and  a front row seat to the opportunities the Obama Center was planned to bring. Displacement is violence. Mayor Lightfoot must show she cares by setting them all aside now!
